come on down to the Mermaid Cafe

Left my mom's this afternoon; drove down to my dad's in the rain. tomorrow morning i go to nyc and get on a plane westbound and go HOME!

it's been a long month (the week at home and the three weeks here since finding out about mom's cancer). but the things that were stressy that distant saturday were the RICA (http://www.rica.nesinc.com/) and finding out about mom's cancer.

on the 5th I took mom to her home from a successful surgery and found out I passed the RICA.

Mommy will be home tomorrow. Today they took out the chest cavity drainage tube and the epidural. she did a few laps in the hall, holding onto my arm. she's gonna be ok. she will be on oxygen for a week or so at home, but that is about it (well, and pain killers...). don't know when chemo starts, but probably after i leave to go back to my home in lovely california.

things are looking ok.
